UNIFLEX Rod System
The UNIFLEX Rod System system consists of polyaxial screws, rods and connectors.
The pedicel screws are polyaxial, Cannulated and self cutting. The 1.8 mm cannulation allows controlled implantation of the screw via guide wire.
The special conical thread permits optimal screwing into the pedicle. Side-opening heads allow 20 degrees rotation.
The fixation screw is Dotize coated which results in a higher torque of the rod and the screw head.
The UNIFLEX Rod System is designed for percutaneous or open dorsal, internal fixation of thoracic, lumbar or sacral spinal segments in the case of fractures, degenerative or innate instabilities, or after spinal decompression operations that have endangered stability
Indications
The implants of the UNIFLEX Rod System can be used for temporary or permanent correction or stabilization of the spine as well as for
- Spinal deformities in the region of the thoracic and lumbar spine,
- Fractures in the region of the thoracic and lumbar spine with compromise of stability,
- Degenerative or innate instabilities in the region of the lumbar spine,
- Pseudarthrosis, or
- Latrogenic instabilities after extensive decompressive surgery in the region of the thoracic and lumbar spine.
